The End of Noise – nature/human/design
A process-based examination of what a Generative Artificial Intelligence can generate from an image of noise and one word as a prompt. Here, the three linked words, ‘nature’, ‘human’ and ‘design’, are examined separately.
“The End of Noise” is about the fact that AI and certainly generative AI form content out of ‘noise’. Whereby noise is no longer noise but rather a carrier where information and hence images can be generated. So not really the end of noise but rather noise as a new fact and basis from which to generate something new.
In the ‘noise’, the AI is gradually looking for an image that is a representation of the words ‘nature‘, ‘human’ and ‘design’ and their meaning for humans and AI.
From tests with the word ‘human’ came this result, among others:
In this case, human faces emerged from the noise after only 2 iterations. Also curious is that from the noise, the first image in this animation, the AI started generating faces in a square grid, while the prompt was very simple, namely ‘human’.
